This explains which fees a Merchant pays while trading with Yakan can be refunded, and when.

Mojaz Report fee

Before Yakan orders a Mojaz Report on a car, the Merchant pays the Mojaz Report fee of SAR 65.34 (inclusive of SAR 8.52 VAT). This covers the cost of the report itself, which Yakan orders straight away, so it is non-refundable once requested — whether or not the car passes.

Purchase Inspection fee

If the car passes the Mojaz Report, the Merchant books a Purchase Inspection. The fee starts from SAR 325.00 plus 15% VAT and varies with the car's range. Once the inspection has taken place, this fee is non-refundable, whether or not the car passes.

If the deal is cancelled before the inspection takes place, the fee has not yet been charged and nothing is owed.

Title Transfer fee

Once Yakan buys a car, transferring the title into Yakan's name costs SAR 380.00 in total — a SAR 150.00 government fee plus a SAR 230.00 platform fee (inclusive of 15% VAT). This is only charged once the purchase is complete and the title has been transferred, so it is non-refundable.

Merchant Deposit

The Merchant Deposit is different — it is refundable, not a fee for a service already performed.

• Deal cancelled before purchase. If the Merchant pays the Merchant Deposit and the deal is cancelled before Yakan completes the purchase, the full Deposit is refunded.
• Breach of the Agreement. If the Merchant breaches the Agreement — including not selling or buying back the car within the Consignment Period, or any unauthorized use of the car — the Deposit is forfeited in full and is not refunded.

How refunds are paid

Where a refund is due, Yakan pays it back using the same method the Merchant used to pay.
